Are you interested in applying to our school?
We look forward to meeting you and getting to know your child! These steps will walk you through the process.
1. Schedule a tour
The best way to learn about our programs is to see them in action. Please schedule a tour here.
2. Submit an application
Complete an application online and submit along with the non-refundable $100 application fee. Once received your child is placed on our waitlist. Primary and elementary families are contacted regarding procedures for securing teacher observation forms, transcripts and evaluations.
3. School visit
When an enrollment spot becomes available, SCM schedules a teacher/child/parent visit. Visits vary depending upon the level.
Infant & Toddler (3 months to 3 years): A meeting with the teacher, child, and parents to observe the child's temperament, language development, and motor control, as the parent guides them in the environment. Meeting are typically 30 to 45 minutes.
Primary (3 to 6 years): A meeting with the teacher and the child. While parents are welcome to attend, it is with the intention of allowing the teacher and the child to converse and collaborate on various activities according to the child's interest and abilities.
Elementary (6 to 12 years): A meeting with the teacher, child and parents for a 15 minute overview of the program. The parents then step out for a 30 minute assessment of the child by the teacher.
4. Enrollment decision
SCM staff evaluates the application to determine the ability of the classroom to meet the child's needs. Parents are notified of the enrollment decision after the visit.
5. Secure enrollment
If enrollment is offered, return the signed enrollment agreement, payments and other required forms to secure child's spot.
