This is the beginning of an amazing journey for your child.

We are excited that you are considering SCM for your family. The Montessori experience is a wonderful gift to your child that will keep on giving as they advance through their educational journey.

Our admissions process is designed to provide parents and their children with an opportunity to learn about our school, our philosophies, our teachers and the ways that Montessori helps develop the "whole child."

Please review the checklists below for enrollment procedures.

Infant and Toddler (3 months to 3 years):

☐    Application Form
☐    Non-refundable $100.00 application fee submitted to SCM
☐    Family Visit scheduled by SCM

After we have received your application and fee, SCM will schedule a 30 minute meeting with the teacher, child and parents. During this family visit the teacher will observe your child’s temperament, language and motor control as you guide them in the environment.

Primary (3 to 6 years):

☐    Application Form
☐    Non-refundable $100.00 application fee submitted to SCM
☐    Two Teacher Evaluation Forms

At least one of these evaluations must be from the student’s current teacher. The second observation may be from a current teacher, a former teacher, or another adult who knows the student well. Observation forms are confidential and must be mailed by the person completing the form.

☐    Child visit scheduled by SCM

After we have received your application, fee, and teacher observation forms, SCM will schedule a 20 to 30 minute classroom visit for your child. Parents are welcome to attend the visit with the intention of allowing the teacher and child to converse and collaborate on various activities according to your child’s interests and abilities.

All Levels:

After visits have been completed SCM staff will evaluate the application to determine the ability of the classroom to meet the child’s needs. Parents will be notified of enrollment decision within two weeks of visit.
